Sr Lam Ngo Sum was invited to serve as an assessor for a Higher Diploma student's final year project. He introduced the Norbit Multi-Beam Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) and integrated a mobile mapping system - Leica BLK2GO onto the USV to capture the 3D point cloud data of the Tseung Kwan O (TKO) seawall.

NORBIT iWBMS Wavemaster AP+ be used for shallow water sounding survey.

 The Hong Kong Marine Department utilizes the NORBIT iWBMS Wavemaster AP+ for very shallow water area surveys. This advanced multibeam sonar system provides high-resolution bathymetry, essential for accurately mapping underwater terrains. Integrated with the Applanix WaveMaster II GNSS/INS system, it ensures precise positioning and reliable data collection. Its compact and low-power design allows for easy deployment on various vessels, making it ideal for the dynamic and busy waters of Hong Kong. This technology significantly enhances the department’s ability to monitor and manage marine environments effectively.

Norbit iWBMS work with CHCNAV Apache 6 in Hong Kong

 The Norbit iWBMS, when paired with the CHCNAV Apache 6 in Hong Kong provides detailed underwater mapping, while the Apache 6, a versatile unmanned surface vehicle (USV), ensures stable and efficient data collection even in challenging conditions. This combination is ideal for shallow and very shallow water surveys, enhancing the accuracy of marine data.
